Despite being based in Berlin, Sofitel Berlin Ku’damm is very proud of its French roots. It is therefore with great pleasure that we announce our ongoing partnership with French Film Week Berlin, which will take place from the 4th until the 10th December.
Now in its 14th instalment, the festival offers visitors a chance to discover a whole wealth of the best French cinema – from comedies and features films to short and animations – at a range of venues across Berlin. The event will begin with the German premiere of 3 Coeurs, a dramatic romance with the leading roles played by Benoît Poelvoorde, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Chiara Mastroianni, scheduled to be released nationwide in March 2015.
The programme features a varied collection of movies including a number of carefully curated films by a contemporary younger generation of French directors. These will be shown at The Arsenal Institute for Film and Video Art from the 5th until the 10th Decmber. Other festival highlights include the first ever French Film Week short film night – an evening dedicated to showcasing the works of short films from France, Belgium and Switzerland.
Whether you’re already a dedicated French film fanatic or have never seen a French language film before there is an excellent selection of films (and subtitles) for everyone – you can find out more information on the festival at their website, here. For assistance booking tickets our concierge team at reception are also happy to help, and are at your disposal 24/7. Happy viewing!
